How TinyFileHub works
A short, honest explanation of what happens to your files from upload to download.
The journey of a file
- 1Upload (only when needed). Your browser sends the file to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Common jobs - JPG / PNG / WebP / BMP picture conversion, merging plain PDFs and splitting PDFs - are done right on your device instead, with no upload and no waiting.
- 2Safety checks. We verify the real file type from its contents (not just its name), check the size and reject anything that isn't a genuine audio, image or video file.
- 3Processing. A background worker converts or compresses the file using FFmpeg or Pillow. Several files are processed independently, so one bad file never blocks the rest.
- 4Download. You receive a private, unguessable download link for each result and an optional ZIP, sent over HTTPS.
- 5Nothing is kept. We do not store your files - once your download has finished, the files are removed from the server 2 minutes later; the 2-minute timer starts only after your download has finished. A result that is never downloaded is deleted after 30 minutes to free the server.
Security measures
- HTTPS encryption in transit and strict security headers
- On-device AI for passport photos: background, dress and enhance never leave your browser
- Real file-type verification and size limits on every upload
- Rate limiting to stop abuse and keep the site fast
- Random, unguessable job and download identifiers
- Automatic deletion of all uploaded and generated files
Free limits
There is no daily limit: every tool is free. Each task can take up to 200 MB in total - one file, or several files together. Big files are uploaded in small pieces so the connection can recover from a drop. Fair-use protection keeps the tools fast and free for everyone.
